Bamboo cultivation may be the fastest and easiest approach to Carbon Sequestration.   Bamtech will produce biomass for bacterial conversion to Hydrogen, without energy input.  This “short path Krebs cycle” will provide annual Carbon credits that are accountable, and which obviate the need for storage and prevent “Slippage”, in contrast with other Bio mass based CDM.  

It takes about 7-10 years to get a large Bamboo Plantation established. During that time there is a lot of work to do in order to introduce Bamboo to American Agro Business. The Project is designed to address that fact, and to provide a site where some of that work can be done. One such site is located in Kern County CA. adjacent to large scale cotton operations, along side of I-5, near Bakersfield. The site is used to discard treated waste water from a cluster of roadside businesses at the rate of about 14,500,000 gal/day, via evaporation and ground saturation. This is ideal for Bamboo. Other potential sites are being considered in Texas, Louisiana, and Hawaii. Simultaneous Project sites are anticipated as details are negotiated.

Perhaps of equal importance to the site work is the political education function of the project which will promote the acceptance of large scale Bamboo, in a sea of competing materials.

Bamboo is such a valuable plant that a vertically integrated company that has sufficient raw material can operate in simultaneous divisions that emphasize different aspects of Bamboo Technology.

We intend to operate as:

1. A Carbon Credit producer and marketing company.

Bamboo can become the "Gold Standard of Carbon Credits", and we are working with our Chinese partners to develop the first Market for Bamboo CDMs.  The market for all CDM is about $100 billion this year, and very little of that money is coming to The USA.  We will start to attract the market when we have an annual Carbon Credit, that guarantees to obviate the necessity for storage and the concern over "slippage".

We will offer low cost verifiable Annual Carbon Credits that are efficient and sustainable.  The short time frame will allow credit buyers more flexibility than other types of CDM; at a lower cost.   The by product of the carbon credit is pure Hydrogen which can be used to power electric generators, or fuel cells, and lignin, a high quality soil amendment.

2. As an adjunct our Carbon Credit operation, we propose to supply water purveyors with a sustainable supply of Bio Filter Media with low cost advantages.  We will develop a series of bamboo applications for water purification, and desalinization.  The pressing need for clean water is one of the most critical issues facing society, and the application of bamboo technology can help provide low cost sustainable water supplies.

3. We are also developing a whole range of Building Materials, which could be “outsourced” to established manufacturers, under our label.  "Plyboo" has been demonstrated to be stronger and 5 times more productive than fir plywood.  "Bamlams" are stronger than timber beams, and woven bamboo can replace fiberglass and steel in composits.  Bamtech can develop high quality low cost alternatives to many common components. 

4.  Organic Bamboo textiles are another of the products that we are developing with Chinese companies...we will be process and design consultants for our proprietary product lines.  

5.  Bamboo Shoot Food is the biggest percentage of all bamboo revenue in China, totaling over $600,000,000 in 2008.  The common Moso shoot contains 15 amino acids, and provides high quality protein at low cost.  Bamboo powder can be added to foods to make fillers that are not digested; a common diet food strategy.  Bamtech is developing a line of "superfood" based upon the high amino acid  content, and will sponser research into the possibility for other bamboo types, that might have food applications.

 All of these projects lead to commercial scale applications, and we are working to develop viable business models that will offer investors a way to participate in the latest Bamboo Technologies.
